Going GREEN

Computer to Plate (CTP)

APMG GREEN is an advanced user of CTP systems eliminating the need for film and associated chemistry from the pre press process. Today all printing plates we make are CTP.

Vegetable based ink

Traditional printing inks are solvent based and contribute to ever growing greenhouse gas emissions. Ninety nine percent of all inks at APMG GREEN are vegetable based with the key ingredients being soy and linseed oil, made from renewable sources.

Alcohol free printing

Isopropyl alcohol used in fountain solutions is the industry's chief source of greenhouse gas emissions as well as the unpleasant odour in printing plants. Most printers in Australia continue to use alcohol. Today, APMG GREEN is 98 per cent alcohol free with on going changes to eliminate alcohol 100 percent.

Water and energy

APMG GREEN proactively reduces consumption of both water and energy throughout general operations and has undertaken many initiatives to achieve this.
